This bill amends existing Idaho law to grant the Idaho Legislature the authority to review court rules, specifically allowing them to examine rules like the Idaho Rules of Family Law Procedure, Idaho Court Administrative Rules, or Idaho Juvenile Rules. If the legislature finds that any court rule conflicts with Idaho Code or improperly alters the fundamental rights of individuals involved in legal cases (known as "substantive rights"), they are empowered to formally notify the Idaho Supreme Court of this conflict through a legislative resolution. The bill also includes a provision to make technical corrections to the law and declares an emergency, setting an effective date of July 1, 2026.
