This concurrent resolution expresses support for TrumpRx, a program that allows direct purchasing of prescription drugs, and the GENEROUS Model, a framework for cost savings in healthcare. The Missouri General Assembly is urging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to ensure that all money patients spend on prescription drugs, including those bought through TrumpRx or similar direct purchasing methods, counts towards their deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, preventing discriminatory insurance practices. Additionally, the resolution strongly encourages health insurers and pharmacy benefit managers to voluntarily adopt this practice. The Missouri General Assembly also requests that the Missouri Department of Social Services evaluate the GENEROUS Model to identify and remove any obstacles that might prevent MO HealthNet, Missouri's Medicaid program, from participating and achieving potential cost savings. Finally, copies of this resolution are to be sent to various federal and state officials.
