This bill, titled the "Flood History Information Act of 2026," aims to improve the transparency and sharing of flood insurance data. It establishes a data exchange program where the Administrator of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will share specific policy and claims information, such as property location, coverage amounts, dates of loss, and claim payouts, with insurance companies that enter into data sharing agreements.
