Despite suffering greatly, Louis Vuitton recovered after numerous surgeries and inspired many, with his abuser receiving a record-breaking sentence under "Gucci's Law," a significant piece of legislation aimed at animal cruelty. The resolution also highlights the connection between animal abuse and broader public safety, as Louis Vuitton's abuser later committed murder. Louis Vuitton lived out his remaining years as a beloved pet and a symbol of hope, and this day is intended to commemorate his legacy and promote the protection of all animals from abuse, encouraging residents to support animal shelters and advocate for humane treatment.
