This bill increases the number of circuit judges in the 25th judicial circuit from two to three, establishing a new division, division three, in addition to the existing divisions one and two. The 25th judicial circuit currently includes the counties of Maries, Phelps, Pulaski, and Texas. The bill specifies that the newly appointed circuit judge for division three will serve until January 1, 2029, after which a judge will be elected in 2028 for a four-year term, followed by a six-year term starting in 2032, and continuing every six years thereafter.
