The Supreme Court will also be able to establish a separate fee for chancery courts and must maintain records and report annually to legislative committees on the fee amounts and revenue collected. The bill also makes conforming changes to various statutes related to court fees, including those for probate, civil, criminal, and municipal court filings, and specifies that these changes will apply to all new cases filed on or after July 1, 2026, with certain sections taking effect immediately.
