AI Summary
This bill amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to establish new supplemental payment provisions for freestanding psychiatric hospitals. Specifically, starting January 1, 2027, if an Illinois freestanding psychiatric hospital reopens a facility that was previously closed within the last four years and that facility was eligible for fee-for-service supplemental payments, the hospital will receive an annual payment. This payment will be calculated as $200 for each inpatient day and $200 for each outpatient claim that was paid under a fee-for-service arrangement for services provided in Calendar Year 2019.
