This resolution commends the Brentsville High School girls' flag football team for winning the inaugural Prince William County flag football tournament on November 8, 2025. The team, known as the Tigers, entered the tournament as the top seed and demonstrated exceptional skill by outscoring opponents significantly, achieving multiple shutouts, and winning several games by the "mercy rule," which is a rule that ends a game early if one team has a substantial lead. Despite having a smaller student body than many competing schools, the Brentsville Tigers, comprised of talented student-athletes, defeated the second-seeded Patriot High School Pioneers in the final game. The resolution acknowledges the team's historic season as a testament to the players' abilities, the coaches' guidance, and the community's support, and directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy of this commendation to head coach Eugene Baltimore.
