This bill amends West Virginia law to clarify the definition of a "firearm" by specifying that an "antique firearm" is not considered a firearm for most purposes, except for specific sections of the law related to concealed carry and prohibited weapons. An antique firearm is defined as a firearm manufactured before 1898, a replica of such a firearm that doesn't use readily available modern ammunition, or a muzzle-loading weapon that uses black powder and cannot fire fixed ammunition, with certain exclusions to prevent conversion into modern firearms.
