"Tony" Campbell, who served as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) from June 2009 to December 2025. The resolution highlights Campbell's leadership in ensuring EKPC provided safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to over 1.1 million Kentucky residents across 89 counties, even as energy demands grew significantly. It acknowledges his efforts in modernizing EKPC's power generation through projects like adding a natural gas combined cycle unit and building a natural gas reciprocating engine unit, as well as his role in strengthening EKPC's financial stability and securing its energy reliability through membership in a regional transmission organization. The resolution also notes Campbell's influence in advocating for dependable energy generation and his encouragement for EKPC's member cooperatives to "Boldly Forward." Finally, it directs that when the Senate adjourns, it does so in honor of Tony Campbell's service, and a copy of the resolution will be sent to him via Senate President Robert Stivers.
