It also prohibits the reimbursement of expenses like room, board, or travel for participation in such associations, and bars contributions to political campaigns or candidates through these associations. Furthermore, any participation by government officials or employees in the activities of a government member association while acting in their official capacity or using public resources must be documented, detailing time spent and the nature of the work, and this documentation must be published monthly on the entity's website. Documents created by a government entity related to its activities with a government member association are now considered public records, meaning they are accessible to the public. The bill also repeals the ability for the Wyoming board of professional engineers and professional land surveyors to pay for memberships and makes conforming amendments to existing laws regarding county commissioners and school district boards, subjecting their memberships and cooperation with associations to the new restrictions.
