Furthermore, throughout any portion of the communication that uses synthetic media, it must explicitly declare "This video content was generated by AI," "This audio content was generated by AI," or "This content was generated by AI," depending on whether it's video, audio, or both, with these disclosures being legible for video and clearly spoken for audio. Violating these new disclosure rules would result in a fine of up to $1,000, though compliance does not shield individuals from other legal liabilities.
