This joint resolution commends Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and its Alabama chapters for their significant contributions to the nation and the state, and officially designates February 10, 2026, as Alpha Phi Alpha Day at the Alabama State Capitol. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, is the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African Americans, founded in 1906 on principles of brotherhood, manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind, and has since grown to over 200,000 members globally, actively engaging in civic outreach, providing scholarships, and promoting voter registration. The resolution specifically acknowledges the 18th Annual "Alpha Day at the Capitol" event, which brings together 32 chapters from across Alabama.
