Beginning in the 2027-2028 school year, all public schools must provide this instruction, which can be integrated into existing coursework. The Department of Education is required to develop and publish model programs and resources to assist schools in implementing these digital literacy standards, including guidance on social media's effects, misinformation, online safety, and becoming competent digital citizens.
