This bill restructures the Homeless Prevention Activities Program by eliminating the advisory committee that previously provided recommendations and instead grants the division of housing within the department of local affairs full administrative authority over the program. This means the division will now be solely responsible for establishing and enforcing standards for all activities funded by the program, as well as creating guidelines to ensure that program funds are allocated appropriately for direct client services and assistance. The bill also removes the definition of "executive director" as it relates to this program, as that role is no longer central to its administration.
