This bill mandates that the State Board of Architects *must* deny, reprimand, or suspend a license to practice architecture or a permit for a business offering architectural services if an individual fraudulently misrepresents that they hold such a license or permit, or engages in other specified fraudulent or deceptive practices. Previously, the Board had the discretion to take these actions. The bill also requires code officials, who are public officials responsible for reviewing building permit documents or issuing permits, to verify that the architect's seal and license match the person submitting the documents. Additionally, the Board is now required to notify county code officials when a license is suspended or revoked.
