Bill Summary
This bill requires the county board of supervisors or the city council to hold a public hearing on any settlement agreement that the county or the city has entered. Before implementing the settlement agreement or making any payments pursuant to the agreement, the board or council must approve the settlement agreement at the public hearing. The board or council shall publish a notice of the time and place of the public hearing no less than 4 nor more than 20 days before the public hearing.
