This bill, by amending the Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, increases the amount of advance notice landlords must provide to month-to-month tenants before raising rent or terminating their tenancy. Specifically, landlords will now be required to give tenants at least sixty (60) days' written notice, a significant increase from the previous thirty (30) days. For tenants aged sixty-two (62) years or older, this notice period is further extended to one hundred twenty (120) days.
