Farm home food products are items made in a home kitchen on a farm and sold at farmers' markets, farmstands, or other farm-operated retail locations, provided specific kitchen standards and food preparation practices are met. The bill also specifies that these products must be labeled with the farm's name, address, and telephone number, and that the farm home kitchen must be registered with the department of health. This change expands the types of non-potentially hazardous foods that can be produced and sold under these regulations, with the act taking effect immediately upon its passage.
