This resolution commends the Mississippi chapters of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., a distinguished organization of African-American mothers, fathers, and children founded in 1938, for their exceptional commitment to cultivating future leaders and for their Legislative Day at the Capitol on February 16, 2026. The resolution highlights Jack and Jill's dedication to providing social, cultural, and educational opportunities for youth, and acknowledges their past legislative advocacy for initiatives such as access to healthy food, health screenings, financial literacy, and scholarships, all of which improve the quality of life for children and families. Copies of this commendation will be sent to the leaders of the Mississippi chapters and the Capitol Press Corps.
