AI Summary

This bill clarifies that any practitioner, including doctors, dentists, optometrists, podiatrists, and veterinarians, who dispenses drugs is considered to be practicing pharmacy and must follow all record-keeping, labeling, packaging, and storage rules that pharmacists and pharmacies are required to follow. The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy will be responsible for enforcing these regulations. Additionally, the bill expands the authority of physicians to delegate the ability to dispense certain drugs to nurses and physician assistants, removing some previous limitations on their ability to order drugs, treatments, or studies.
