This bill, also known as Tiarra's Law, requires the Maryland Department of Health to create a pamphlet detailing state and national crisis support resources, including the 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and mandates that healthcare providers and representatives from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner provide this pamphlet to individuals upon request or when appropriate in situations involving death, overdose, or behavioral health crises. Additionally, the bill requires the Department of Health to review existing trauma-informed care training for healthcare providers, which is a type of training designed to be sensitive to individuals who have experienced trauma, and report its findings and recommendations for improvements to the General Assembly by December 1, 2026.
