Additionally, the bill authorizes local law enforcement, public agencies, and private entities to share information about commodity metal thefts with the Department of Justice, which will then make this information accessible to these same entities, aiming to improve coordination and deterrence against these crimes that have caused significant damage to public infrastructure and safety.
