This quote must include an all-inclusive price or an itemized list of standard services and fees for uncomplicated vaginal or cesarean births, covering everything from initial intake to routine newborn care, and also list common additional charges like epidurals or circumcisions. Crucially, the bill requires a disclosure statement clarifying that these prices are for uncomplicated births and may not cover unforeseen complications. Furthermore, hospitals are prohibited from entering into contracts that prevent them from offering discounted cash prices for maternity services or from disclosing these discounted prices to patients, and any existing contract clauses that violate this provision will be void. The bill also declares an emergency and sets an effective date of July 1, 2026.
