Coaches will need to renew this training at least every two years, following national guidelines for emergency cardiovascular care. Additionally, the bill provides legal protection for coaches who perform CPR or use an AED while on duty, shielding them from civil lawsuits for damages unless their actions were due to gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
