This bill appropriates $25,000,000 from state bond proceeds to the Public Facilities Authority, which will then provide a grant to the city of Minneapolis for the installation of approximately 2,100 feet of new storm sewer along 13th Avenue Northeast, extending from 2nd Street Northeast to a new discharge point at the Mississippi River. To fund this appropriation, the commissioner of management and budget is authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to the same amount, following established state procedures and constitutional guidelines for bond sales. This measure is intended to address infrastructure needs for storm water management in Northeast Minneapolis and will take effect the day after it is officially passed into law.
