AI Summary
This bill makes it a Class 4 felony, a serious criminal offense, to obstruct official State or federal government duties in three specific ways: by felling a tree to block a public highway, by violating rules about stopping, standing, or parking in prohibited areas when it hinders government work, or by erecting signs, tents, or temporary shelters during picketing in a manner that physically interferes with government duties. The bill amends existing laws, including the Illinois Highway Code, the Illinois Vehicle Code, and the Labor Dispute Act, to establish these new felony penalties, with the changes taking effect immediately upon becoming law.
