This bill establishes the Governor's safe library books for kids committee within the Department of Tourism, with the Secretary of Tourism or a representative serving as an ex officio member and four additional members appointed by the Governor. The committee's primary responsibilities are to review all books in the children's and teen sections of public libraries and create a rating system based on age appropriateness, starting with the youngest readers and progressing to teen and adult levels.
