This bill modifies how interest earned on the Medicaid ACA Fund, a special revenue fund for Medicaid services, is distributed. Starting July 1, 2026, up to $7 million of this interest will be annually deposited into the Division of Services for People with Disabilities Restricted Account, which is used to serve individuals on the division's waitlist. Any remaining interest will go into the Medicaid Growth Reduction and Budget Stabilization Account, which is used to manage Medicaid program expenditures and budget stability, unless the principal in the Medicaid ACA Fund falls below a certain threshold, in which case all remaining interest will be returned to the Medicaid ACA Fund to maintain its principal. The bill also makes technical amendments to various sections related to these accounts and their funding mechanisms.
