This bill modifies existing Vermont statutes concerning legislative reporting requirements by repealing certain reports deemed no longer necessary, extending others for four years until a future review, and exempting specific reports from a standard expiration process. Specifically, it eliminates annual reports from the Chief Performance Officer on contract performance, the Commissioner on temporary employee authorizations, the Council on its activities, the Technical Advisory Committee on water supply rules, the State Board on education, the Commissioner of Corrections on community placements, and joint reports on prekindergarten education and children with emotional disturbances. It also removes reporting requirements for the Attorney General and Green Mountain Care Board on prescription drug costs, and for the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services on ADA improvements. Additionally, it delays the expiration of several other reports until July 1, 2030, and exempts numerous other reports from the automatic expiration process outlined in 2 V.S.A. § 20(d), ensuring their continued requirement for legislative review.
