This resolution recognizes February 20, 2026, as Donor Day at the state capitol, acknowledging the thousands of Georgians who gave the gift of life through organ, eye, and tissue donation in 2025, saving and improving countless lives, and commends the dedicated organizations like Donate Life Georgia and LifeLink of Georgia that work to educate the public, facilitate donations, and support families through this process, while also highlighting the ongoing need for registered donors to help the nearly 3,300 Georgians currently awaiting transplants and to honor those who have given and those who have waited.
