This bill would expressly authorize school districts, county boards of education, and charter schools to establish a "Wait Until 8th" program, which is designed to encourage parents and students to delay their use of social media until at least the eighth grade, building upon existing law that already allows these educational bodies to limit or prohibit social media use by students at school or under school supervision.
