This bill amends the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act to prohibit the sale of marihuana accessories with a heating element, intended to introduce marihuana into the human body, unless that heating element is made of or encased in glass or ceramic. The bill also makes several other changes to the regulations for marihuana establishments, including requiring them to secure entrances to restrict access to authorized individuals, secure inventory and equipment to prevent theft, and allow agents of the cannabis regulatory agency to inspect licensed premises and audit records. Additionally, it clarifies that marihuana establishments cannot sell tobacco and that marihuana must be packaged in opaque, resealable, child-resistant packaging unless it is for on-site consumption.
