This bill appropriates funds for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Innovation and Technology (DOIT) for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, totaling $1,107,615,900, with $393,399,200 from the General Revenue Fund and $714,216,700 from other state funds. Specifically, it allocates $115,409,200 from the General Revenue Fund for personal services and state contributions to Social Security, $274,990,000 from the General Revenue Fund for administrative and program expenses, and $681,716,700 from the Technology Management Revolving Fund for similar purposes. Additionally, the bill directs $3,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the DoIT Special Projects Fund for an Artificial Intelligence Innovation Program, and another $3,000,000 from the DoIT Special Projects Fund for the same program, as well as $12,000,000 from the DoIT Special Projects Fund to address cybersecurity risks and threats, referencing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Finally, $17,500,000 is appropriated from the Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund for the Illinois Century Network and broadband projects.
