This bill appropriates funds for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Department of Gaming Regulation and Enforcement for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, totaling $299,454,900 from various state funds. Specifically, it allocates $276,987,000 from the State Gaming Fund for operational costs, including personal services, retirement and social security contributions, insurance, contractual services, travel, commodities, printing, equipment, electronic data processing, telecommunication services, auto equipment operation, refunds, expenses related to the Illinois State Police, distributions to local governments for admissions and wagering tax, and costs for implementing and administering the Video Gaming Act and the Illinois Gambling Act. An additional $17,500,000 is appropriated from the Sports Wagering Fund for costs related to the implementation and administration of the Sports Wagering Act and for wagering tax distributions to local governments. Finally, $4,967,900 is allocated from the Horse Racing Fund for costs associated with the implementation and administration of the Horse Racing Act of 1975. The bill also specifies an effective date of July 1, 2026.
