This resolution commends Tennessee credit unions for their significant support of the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission (TNFLC), a body established in 2010 by the state's General Assembly. Credit unions, which have a long history of serving Tennessee communities and helping members manage their finances responsibly, have pledged $1.8 million over three years to the TNFLC. This partnership will enable the TNFLC to enhance its financial literacy programs, including providing more teacher training, classroom materials, and scholarships, thereby increasing public awareness of personal finance and empowering citizens to make informed financial decisions for their well-being and future.
