This bill authorizes Chautauqua County to discontinue the use of certain lands currently designated for reforestation purposes, allowing them to be used for acquiring and dedicating new reforested lands or parklands adjacent to existing parkland, provided that the county acquires new lands of equal or greater fair market value for reforestation. The bill specifies that the lands to be discontinued are currently vacant and not used by the public for recreational or reforestation purposes, and the authorization is contingent upon the county acquiring new lands, also described as vacant and unused, for reforestation. If the discontinued lands are ever used for a purpose other than what is authorized by this bill, they must be restored to their original state and maintained as reforested lands according to county law. This act takes effect immediately.
