It also expresses support for a tax agreement between the United States and Taiwan, and celebrates both the 47th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, a U.S. law that governs unofficial relations with Taiwan, and the 46th anniversary of the sister-state relationship between Oklahoma and Taiwan, which signifies a formal bond for friendship and cooperation. Finally, it directs that copies of this resolution be sent to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Houston, which represents Taiwan's interests in the region.
