This bill, the Gambling Control Act, makes two primary changes: first, it requires the California Gambling Control Commission to post a public record of all its votes on its internet website within two business days of the vote, in addition to maintaining the record at its office; and second, it makes a technical, nonsubstantive change to existing law that exempts certain actions related to a tribal-state gaming compact with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), which is a state law requiring environmental impact reports for projects that may significantly affect the environment.
