This bill requires the designated small business liaison for each state agency to annually report specific contract information to the Office of Small Business Advocate, which is part of the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development and works to support small businesses. This information will include a list of all contracts the agency has with small businesses, as well as contracts where a small business is a subcontractor, along with the total dollar amount of these contracts and the amounts paid to small businesses. The Office of Small Business Advocate will then make this contract data publicly available on its website, providing greater transparency regarding state agency contracts with small businesses.
