This bill makes technical, nonsubstantive changes to existing law regarding health facilities, specifically amending Section 1250.06 of the Health and Safety Code. The existing law requires licensed general acute care hospitals and acute psychiatric hospitals to have policies and procedures for the proper repackaging and labeling of bulk cleaning agents, solvents, chemicals, and other nondrug hazardous substances used within the hospital. The bill clarifies that these hospitals are not generally required to consult a pharmacist for these repackaging and labeling processes, except in areas where sterile compounding is conducted. The changes involve minor wording adjustments, such as replacing "pursuant to" with "in" and adding the word "the" in a few places, to improve the clarity and flow of the existing text without altering its meaning or requirements.
