This bill makes a minor, nonsubstantive change to the Climate Innovation Program, which is administered by the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission. This program provides financial incentives to companies headquartered in California to develop and commercialize technologies that help the state meet its greenhouse gas reduction targets, achieve climate goals faster and cheaper, or improve resilience to climate impacts like drought and wildfire. The existing law requires these recipient companies to remain California-headquartered throughout the incentive period and for ten years afterward; this bill simply adds a comma to that requirement, without altering its meaning or effect.
