The first report, an initial after-action report, must be completed within 180 days of a disaster declaration and will review public safety responses. An updated after-action report, focusing on disaster recovery activities and any necessary revisions to the initial report, will be due no later than 180 days after the disaster declaration ends. Both of these reports will then be submitted to the Assembly and Senate Committees on Emergency Management. The bill aims to provide a more comprehensive review of disaster response and recovery efforts by splitting the reporting into two distinct phases.
