This bill, the American Battlefield Protection Program Amendments Act of 2026, modifies cost-sharing requirements and expands the scope of grant programs administered by the American Battlefield Protection Program. Specifically, it reauthorizes the Battlefield Acquisition Grant Program through fiscal year 2036, increases the federal cost-share for grants under the Battlefield Interpretation Modernization Grant Program and the Battlefield Restoration Grant Program from 50% to 75%, and authorizes appropriations of $2,000,000 annually for these two grant programs through fiscal year 2036.
