This bill amends Alaska Statute 21.36 by adding a new section that requires health care insurers, which are companies that provide health insurance, to reimburse non-network health care providers, meaning providers not contracted with the insurer, for services or supplies at a minimum of 75 percent of the median rate that the insurer pays to its in-network providers for the same service or supply within Alaska at the time the service was rendered.
