This bill amends existing Idaho law concerning daycare facilities by updating the definition of "supervision" to allow for remote monitoring of sleeping children using live video and audio, as long as a provider remains nearby to offer immediate assistance. It also introduces an exception for calculating attendance in family daycare homes or group daycare facilities, stating that a provider's own children who are five years of age or older will not be counted towards the child-to-staff ratio if the daycare is operated out of the provider's home. The bill also makes technical corrections and declares an emergency, setting an effective date of July 1, 2026.
