This bill authorizes the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance, in consultation with the commissioner of conservation and recreation, to lease or enter into other agreements with The Riverside Boat Club of Cambridge for a parcel of land in Cambridge, Massachusetts, allowing for the continued operation of its historical rowing program and boathouse. This authorization is granted under chapter 65 of the acts of 2010 and overrides any conflicting general or special laws, including section 5A of chapter 3 of the General Laws, which generally governs the leasing of state land. The bill specifies that the land parcel may be reconfigured from its current recorded boundaries, as detailed on a specific plan filed with the department of conservation and recreation, and includes adjacent water access and rights of access from public roads. Any lease or agreement must also require The Riverside Boat Club to maintain a designated area from Memorial Drive to the boathouse, as shown on a separate maintenance plan. The commissioner is further empowered to make minor revisions to the land parcel plan and to execute the necessary leases or agreements in accordance with chapter 65 of the acts of 2010.
