Furthermore, it permits licensed dentists to administer cosmetic injections, such as Botox or dermal fillers, to a patient's face, and clarifies that this is not considered cosmetic surgery outside the scope of dentistry. Finally, the bill updates continuing education requirements for dental professionals, increasing the number of mandatory topics from ten to twelve, including new requirements for training on providing care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and identifying victims of human trafficking, effective July 1, 2026.
