This resolution commends the Roanoke Chapter of Continental Societies, Inc. on its 60th anniversary, recognizing its six decades of dedicated service to uplifting and empowering underserved youth in the Roanoke area. Continental Societies, Inc. is an international service organization founded in 1956 with numerous chapters across the United States and Bermuda. The Roanoke Chapter, established in 1965, actively promotes health, education, employment, recreation, and the arts and humanities, notably by funding scholarships for graduating high school students, including an endowed scholarship at Virginia Western Community College.
