This bill requires the Commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency (PCA) to create and maintain a publicly accessible online tool, called a web-based permit application tracker, to allow people and businesses applying for permits, as well as the general public, to monitor the progress of their applications. The tracker will provide important details such as the name of the facility, the type of permit being sought, a unique identification number for the facility, the permit number itself, and the dates when key stages of the permitting process are finished, making the process more transparent. This change will take effect immediately after the bill is officially passed into law.
